What does a date night in Louisville look like?
Book the tasting first, especially on a weekend, then walk to dinner. The rickhouse is on East Market, and the restaurants below are on that same street. Hours and prices at those restaurants change, so check them before you go. This page does not list them.
- Book a tasting for two at Louisville Rickhouse, 717 E Market St. The Whiskey and Chocolate Pairing is $50 per person and about 45 minutes: four pours and four handcrafted chocolates, and that page also offers wine instead of whiskey. A Premium Tasting is $50 per person and about 30–45 minutes if you would rather taste whiskey straight from the barrel. Both are 21+. Bring an ID. Walk-in barrel flights are poured at the bar when there is room, and the experiences page lists flights from $35.

What are things to do in Louisville for couples?
The evening above is the plan: a booked tasting, then dinner you can walk to. Two seats fit the live Xola order limit of 1 to 20 guests. A private room is a different booking. Groups of 8 or more go through private events, so a table for two is one of the public tastings, not a buyout.
For a daytime date, use the rickhouse hours. Mon–Wed the room opens at 1pm, Thursday at 10am, Friday and Saturday at 10am, and Sunday at noon. It closes at 9pm except Thursday and Sunday, which close at 8pm. A tasting can be the daytime stop on any day the room is open. This page does not assign a lunch restaurant.
For a cheaper date, order walk-in flights. They are listed from $35 per person, so two flights start at $70 when the bar has room. For a first date, the Premium Tasting is a set block of about 30–45 minutes, then a walk to La Bodeguita de Mima at 725 E Market St or bar Vetti at 727 E Market St.
